Plane Ride
In my throat, a lump I felt,
I quickly fastened my seat belt.
Very soon we were airborne,
In the clouds, on a chilly morn.
They served coffee with a few peanuts,
But something inside was wrenching my guts.
My glasses flew; my pupils blew,
My heart rate, through the roof it grew.
Due to major turbulence it felt like a slide,
Dear folks it wasn’t a plain ride.
